WORLD DAY AGAINST CHILD LABOR 2008: To observe the WORLD DAY AGAINST CHILD LABOR, a program was jointly arranged by Pak Swedish Teachers Association and the Labor Department, Government of the Punjab.
Present in this meeting were the Minister of Labor, Mr. Ashraf Sohna, the Secretary of the Labor Ministry, The Director of the Labor department, Mr. Saeed Awan, ILO representative, Mr. Taseer, representatives from the workers union and representatives from the Employers Federation, finally the Chairman of PACS, Mr. Rodney Asberg. The main guests of the program were the nearly 1400 children who came from different brick kilns to participate in this event.

The Minister of Labor, Mr. Sohona was very much thankful to Mr. Rodney Asberg for the work that he was carrying out and awarded him with an appreciation shield. Medals were also given out to the children who got positions in the quiz competition that PSTA held in April 2008.
Children also displayed their talents in the form of dramas and tableaus. A magic show and a puppet show were also arranged for the entertainment of the children.
After the program, the entire guests were served with food and drinks.
